    Season 11 Broadcast Funding

I'm not sure if an official statement has been made, but, my bosses at GSRC have told me to clear my personal schedule in the AOR time slot soooo..... "Gather up your chickens".

AOR Formula Renault 2.0 Championship S10 - Round 4: Phillip Island

Road Atlanta Replays.... sorry we did not get the big one lap one. We hate to pull away from the action early on and then never went back to it. Sean's getting more comfortable with the magic of the replay, they will be coming more and more. Keep in mind, GSRC's points are going to look very...

GSRC: Broadcast - Info, Suggestions & Comments - Season 10

Points Chart In previous seasons, GSRC was given a link to the master score sheet. It showed not the finishing position, but the actual points awarded to each driver, with a tab for each race result. Does such a page exist for Season 10,and if so, could I have the link?

GSRC: Broadcast - Info, Suggestions & Comments - Season 10

---Sean is relatively new to directing. Finding replays is half science, half artform. So not to miss too much live action, (oval races with yellow flags are soooo much easier) relays must be rewound quickly, to the right time, and shown quick. ---As Sean gets more comfortable (and it won't take...

GSRC: Broadcast - Info, Suggestions & Comments - Season 10

Four post-Suzuka thoughts 1. Doing a single 60 minute race is a completely different animal than covering the craziness of a typical double header. We probably spent more time focusing on battles outside the top ten than inside. Those extra 20 minutes affords time to cover a larger percentage...

A Thought About How Penalties Are Appied

Follow up thought on the above. In hindsight, the above post might be a case of, "Soup, stay in your lane. You do the commentary, we'll handle the rules". Carry on.

A Thought About How Penalties Are Appied

As a math-type guy I wanted to point out that when a series has dropped races, how Penalties are applied matter. Take the case of Josh Lad being DQed from a feature race for crossing the white line. No feature points means there is a good chance this race will be dropped, meaning the penalty...

GSRC: Broadcast - Info, Suggestions & Comments - Season 10

Is there something I am missing regarding announce penalties? I read the "Round-Up" for the Ring and did NOT see any mention of Thompsons penalty. That would have been a talking point before the sprint race, instead of one commentator (me) telling the viewers Thompson is the favorite for the...

GSRC: Broadcast - Info, Suggestions & Comments - Season 10

The issue of the lagging cars at the start is above my pay grade at GSRC. Rest assured this commentator shares your frustration. I know that the issue is a top priority at GSRC (the very top) and steps are being taken to solve the problem. I will pass your concerns along to the GSRC staff.

Thanks for the reminder. Force of habit. So if there is no pit window, is there a limit to when a driver must pit. If a driver's pit box is before the finish line, could he/she pit with the white flag waving, change tires, and take the checkered flag from pit lane?

Matteo, Thanks, that will help a lot. Maybe if the AOR officials see this they could go into the iRacing league section and change Matteo's name to read better Thanks

Stewart, I did not see this until after the broadcast, but yeah, this helps. A few quesitons. Q1: How do you pronounce you last name? I'm like going with MILL-knee, but my partner likes Miln. Q2: From a man with the nickname of "Soup" is it okay if I call you "Stew"?

GSRC: Broadcast - Info, Suggestions & Comments - Season 10

Because the viewers get glassy-eyed with too much info, GSRC will only cover the OVERALL DRIVER CHAMPIONSHIP and the TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP in the pre-race show. We will try to mention during the race the drivers doing well in Tier 2 and 3. We will bring back the "Best on the Day" feature. A...

Drop Races for the broadcast will be shown this way. I strongly believe in this method listed below that accounts for dropped weeks early. I know most series do not take drop weeks into account until the final few races, but using only the raw numbers tells a false story. A hot driver who...
