I think it was mostly tarmac anyway at Monaco so we will be destroyed at sweden and other gravel rounds :)

Pretty impressed with my pace for this round with it being on the pad. Definitely think the wheel is quicker, and from now on I'll practice with my T80 so I have more ultimate pace and can gain consistency

I know trying to get it done primary on call this week and last. on top of holidays and thought this started this week not last lol. been working all the way into 3am for the last 3 days lets see how i can do with 3 hours sleep lol.

Note to self apparently it will DNF if one tire barely go over the edge of the bridge and was very recoverable. was doing great til that.

Only just done my stages about an hour ago due to being hung over the majority of the day so didn't feel like driving for the most part as I din't want to do a Mark Webber and throw up mid race in my virtual helmet but finally got them finished :hungover: Bottled it twice over two separate stages on the same corner which was pretty frustrating as I lost myself around 30 seconds being sat in the middle of the road trying to find reverse to get back on track, found it eventually lol... Overall however I'm very happy with my pace broke my PB on every stage that I didn't crash at by several seconds so managed to close up a lot of time to the guys in front despite my errors and finished in 3rd for this round (on PC of course) 19 seconds behind @Race Fanatic which I'm confident I can whittle down over the next few weeks as the overall world leaderboard times between us are always consistently close I seem to have the slightly better pace but @Race Fanatic has the nerves not to stuff it in the wall like me haha :banghead: On a side note I stick out like a sore thumb on the leaderboards having one lonely Brit in the mix of 4 Finnish drivers I don't think I belong up there among the Scandinavians :bag:

Well round 1 has finished! Very well done for @Nico for the win, but nice to see @ZokyCRO very close to him in 2nd (looks like you two could have a very good scrap). Also well done to @Race Fanatic for 3rd.

A little disappointed with P13 in the end but it shows how good the drivers are in this league. Still, a good solid start and I feel Sweden will be better for me :)

Well done to all the finishers. Attendance was very high which was a positive. Let's hope there are less DNF's in Sweden so we could even more scraps as people battle for points!

Rally Report

The round was won by the reigning champion @Nico who still looks like the man to beat. @ZokyCRO who's new for season 2 was not far behind and looks like a potential championship contender. Last season's runner up @Race Fanatic was some time behind but puts in a solid effort to finish on the podium.

All 3 different cars were on the podium with Subaru in 1st, Lancia in 2nd and Ford in 3rd.

The strongest team this rally which also takes the lead in the team championship is Ford Motorsport with the driver's of @Race Fanatic and @C-FOGARTY who finished 3rd and 6th respectively.

The drivers closes to each other were @Enzo and @tha_Sup3rN0va who were separated by only 0.039 seconds.
  • 60% of the drivers finished the rally
  • 28% of the drivers were unable to complete the rally
  • 13% of the drivers did not participate in the rally

Really happy with that result...Just missed out on a podium but that was well above my expectations here! Looks like it should be a really fun battle throughout the season. Congrats @Nico on the rally win! incredible pace from @ZokyCRO and @Race Fanatic also, well done guys.
Yes it was only 3 secs of a Podium .Awsome pace though ! :) Not as close as 7th & 8th Place finishers . @Enzo & @tha_Sup3rN0va .Enzo just nipped 7th overall by a couple of hundredths .
Congrats To the Podim @Nico Brilliant Drive :stig: @ZokyCRO for a fine 2nd on your Debut Rally. 3rd My Team M8 @Race Fanatic :stig:;) Pace was very fast from you 3 guys .Brilliant stuff fellas .;) Well done to everyone who finished the Rally .

TBH I'm stunned at how hard I found it trying to hustle that escort around Monte. Couldn't get near my regular pace and struggled to find a responsive turn in. At first I blamed the car, but when the top team are piloting 'Scorts? Well there goes my only excuse! Ha, still, live and learn! Congrats to everyone who didn't succumb to monte's treacherous drops! Gl to all in Sweden :)

Amazing to see so many fighting at the top, looks like this is going to be a great season. :)
Did not expect to win with this many quick guys around.
Great fight with @ZokyCRO on the PS4 and last seasons rival @Race Fanatic (y)

Wow, tough crowd. Placing 54th is not exactly awe inspiring. I'd be quick to point out that there was someone from Finland below me. ...
...
That's about all I got. :blackeye:

I knew Monte Carlo was not my fastest location but was hoping for more. Been away from the game for months, but it should be like riding a bike. Felt tentative to start, and then throughout due to the conditions. That "flow" never quite got to me in the first place, which spells doom for a stage rally. Well, at least we don't have to do these stages cold. :bored:

I hate to practice so much that a stage is fully committed to memory, because that sort of defeats the point of Rally, but hoping for better results in Sweden.

Congrats @Nico on the rally win! Also top notch from @ZokyCRO and @Race Fanatic. @EpilepticToast, nice work! I used to be able to stick with you in this game. Blazes. Maybe I'll try this hungover. Seems to work wonders.

Was surprised I made it to top 10 and definitely want to continue with strong finishes. Monaco wasn't my favorite, but judging from the list of DNFs that is true for many others aswell. Next round might be a lot harder to make it high in the leaderboards.

I agree buddy, I practice, to hopefully improve my driving, but like you say, its more enjoyable to treat it as a rally, and not commit every stage to memory. I find myself over driving and doing Concorde impersonations when I over work each stage. But on the flip side, if you want points I guess its the only way forward.

Luckily, Im happy with just completing the event, knowing that a rich reward of thick hearty soup and a cosy bobble hat await me at service :D

I agree. I only do the stages to see where I kill myself, spectator or my car to avoid doing those mistakes in the actual event.

even though P18 sounds a bit low for an AOR F1 winner i am very pleased as i have barely played this game and had a very clean run. I just hope to be consistently in the Top 15 from now on to maintain top 5 in the constructors with @DemoN F1

Getting higher than that maybe a struggle, but on my new wheel I think I may eventually have the pace for top 5s in the drivers :D

Was there anyone in the top 10 on a pad? If there was someone 20+ seconds ahead of me on the pad then I seriously respect that. Felt I got close to maximum out of my stages barring the 10 second mistake in stage 2

I'm just hoping to finish every Rally. .It can all go horribly wrong in a split second.as we have seen already  .I was riding my luck a bit on some of the stages .but found the cautious way is too slow and prone to mistakes. .;) you have similar pace to me. .so hopefully we can keep each other on our toes.:) for this next month. .
