AOR Project CARS GT3 Leagues - Season 3
PC - Time Trial Event

Season 3 is now over so sign ups are currently closed. Keep an eye on the forums though. Season 4 will be posted in the coming weeks! :)

NOTE: This time trial event only needs to be completed by drivers who have not previously raced in the AOR GT3 leagues.

Returning drivers will be placed into the new leagues based on results and championship positions from Season 2, and will therefore not be required to post time trial times this time around. For new drivers however we would like to get a general idea of your pace, and in turn which league tier you may be best suited to race in, which is what this time trial event will help us with.

The car and tracks used will be the same as in Seasons 1 and 2, so that we have last season's times as a reference, without last season's drivers having to complete a new time trial event this time around.

We ask you to please put a reasonable amount of effort into your times so that we get laps that are representative of your speed in these cars. When setting your lap times, please bear in mind what assists are allowed to use in our leagues, as per the list below:

*Note: Racing Line is allowed in all tiers only because there is no lobby setting to restrict it.

How to participate:
Note: Before taking part in the time trial event, you must have signed up to our leagues in the sign-up thread.

Initial deadline for completing the time trial event is Saturday 21st November @ 6pm as that's when we will start working on the league and driver placements.

To complete the time trial event, you must post a representative lap time on two specified circuits, using a specified car, as stated below. Your combined time from both tracks will help determine your league placing.

Tracks:
- Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP
- Nürburgring GP
Car:
- Ruf RGT-8 GT3

Remember: You must complete your times in Time Trial mode, not free practice.

Please post your lap times by replying to this thread, using the following template:

Gamertag/ID:
Catalunya Lap Time (+Photo):
Nürburgring Lap Time (+Photo):
Assists Used:

It must be stressed that fast lap times are no guarantee as to which tier you'll be placed in, so don't be disappointed if you don't end up where you expected. Also, times will not be counted unless a screenshot or photo is submitted. The photo can be taken either from the pause menu or the in-game time trial leaderboard.

Lap times:
Drivers who have submitted their lap times will be added to the list below.

I don't think there's really a 1s difference between before and post patch 6.0, I almost got the same time at Nürburgring GP after the update without changing a thing. I'll do a new lap at Barcelona too before Saturday if I have time. Too much Uni stuff and have to practice for iRacing BES. :p

I also don't think there is a difference on one lap.
Also Casey said that the absolute performance wasn't altered so time trial times should not be that much different.
(No) ABS however is the game changer here, especially in Nürburgring ;)

I haven't actually played PCars that much and looked into ABS and TC settings, are those actually done like in GT3s irl so that you can change the TC/ABS level on track too? Or is there this Forza/GT style artificial low/medium/high setting? I've only recently started driving the GT3s in iRacing and I like how there you can add TC at the end of the stint when your tyres are a bit gone and you get huge wheelspin out of slow corners otherwise. (EDIT: depends on the car of course, with some you need more ABS and TC than with others)

Yeh you can still do the same times now as before so the +1 second confused me initially.

As for the quote @Togomies; ABS you can't adjust. TC however you can, but it can only be done in the cars setup and not out on track and it has a range of 1-12 or 15, entirely depends on the car. However as you'll notice in the leagues rules, we won't be running with either ABS or TC, and SC for that matter so it's not something you'll need to worry about adjusting :)

Thanks for doing another lap though mate, just clarifies whether this 1 sec difference actually is true to an extent.
