How does short qualifying work in regards to tires for race start. We all start race on tires we set fastest times? or just top 10? or we can pick fresh tires for the start regardless? I'm more familiar with 3 sessions.

Its Race Day!!!! Lets have a great race tonight and take it easy on the start. Those of you using assists please remember that a lot of us aren't and will most likely be braking sooner than you will be in some of the corners.

Q - 6
R - DNF

Had a descent qualifying session and ended up 6th. I may have been able to get 5th spot but was happy with what I had. Race start was great. Got through the first turns with out incident. Although I think I did get tapped lightly from behind and saw someone spin in my mirrors. Was able to dive inside @MylesLive going into T3. I knew I was going to have to limit any mistakes as he was all over the rear of my car. Unfortunately I did make a mistake and missed my brake marker into T9. Locked up the wheel a bit and went to deep which allowed @MylesLive to get a good run on me coming out of T10. I tried to let up a little early going into T11 giving him room but I guess he did the same and we made slight contact and I spun with damaged wing. Limped into pit for tire and nose change. I get back out and get in the groove again and start making up some time and making some passes. Lap 13 and as I come out of T11 I am on the curb a little much and car starts to slide. I tried to hold the throttle and control it but no luck. Off into the wall I go. Pretty bummed as I though I could have gotten a top 3 out of that. Oh well, lets go to Bahrain!!!!

Anyone have screenshots of final results? After my crash I completely forgot to take screenshots. As soon as I get those I can update and post the results page.

Qualy: P15
Race: P8

Wasn't sure what to expect for race one NA league. Combining all sorts of skill levels and assists could make for an interesting 6 months here. Put together a decent lap for qualy, but only managed a P15. No worries I thought since I really enjoy battling through the field. Moved up the field little by little until disaster struck mid-way thru. Lost the rear end exiting a turn and gave a love-tap to my wing. Moderate damage and I attempted a full lap with it, but driving was unbearable, so I pitted for a pair of US shoes and pushed as hard as I could.

In the end it was a P8 and 4 points to the tally. I'll take it!

Congrats to @kingbrat20010 on the win!
Congrats to @MylesLive and @ColeBurch14 to round out the podium!
And congrats and thanks to ALL drivers on the first race of the PS4 North America league!

Onto racing under the lights at Bahrain!
