Just to be clear I don't have a big ego ask GTX and everyone in my team. I ALWAYS know when I have something to improve and and I don't think I'm better than anyone else (Tubby is) ask Joker.

I have the right to say I was faster as it was the case. And once again I was alongside in a corner wide enough for 2 cars so I don't understand why you're trying to put the blame on me.

That's really not cool to make people believe I'm a guy who is over agressive as I always leave room (apart in Bahrain but you see I admit it.) So stop saying I'm over agressive as I'm not at all

Apart if someone sends me a message about it that will be my last message on this incident.

So first of all I want yo clarify that I meant I didn't care at all about the others drivers and not I didn't care about all the drivers. Who wrote that anyway to argument the fact he's respectful with other drivers....

Thanks to the screen I send and my explanation about why T12 is wide enough there is no doubt I had the right to stay alongside in a corner where it's possible to overtake because that's not a fast one and a wide enough one. So I was faster, in a corner where you can overtake, and truly alongside. Why am I being blame exactly?

Saying that I'm over agressive is really disrespectful against me who always leaves room to others. Saying that I have a big ego I don't know where you get that because I never said after some of my mistakes that I should have win or anything so clearly I always admit my mistakes and learn from it.

Despite what I could have say against Don in the heat of the moment I just feel sorry that he screwed such a good opportunity to score points and as a person I have nothing against him at all.

So I struggle to understand why I'm playing the bad guy here...

Utterly mad race... carnage everywhere... sheer insanity.

How I managed P5 on a pad is beyond me.

I think this is where most of us disagree with you. Personally I don't believe Tabac (T12) is an overtaking opportunity, there is clearly one quick line through the corner and for two cars to go side by side both have to be going SIGNIFICANTLY slower than normal racing speed. With that in mind to have the right to the corner you must be at least level with the car ahead which you weren't; you only had a tiny overlap.

Quali 2nd, Race 8th

For the first time all season I was coming into a race with a bit of confidence. Amazingly for me I was actually a little disappointed about not getting pole having invalidated my last quali attempt at the Nouvelle Chicane whilst on a much faster time. Looking ok for the race though. Dropped to third at T1 as @GTX_23x overtook but all was ok. Could see @TheTubbyNinja was struggling with connection issues so went for the undercut on lap 3 under the VSC. I went for the two stop strategy, SMM. For the first time this season I was being aggressive, going for it and backing myself for the win (not relying on others to make mistakes). I was then in clear air with good pace, pulling a nice gap over @Sneaky24-7Ninja on the hards behind and catching the soft runners ahead all whilst keeping it safe and sensible with no hint of a warning or penalty. It was looking good with the likelihood of a very interesting end to the race as I would've had a great pace advantage from my last set of tyres over the one stoppers. I just wish it played out that way. A disaster happened for me on lap 13, a SC half way through my stint. Just needed another 9 or 10 laps. Too early to stay out with losing the gap I have built and having to stop again whilst a stop would put me back in the pack. Had to do the latter. To make matters worse on the SC restart @TheTubbyNinja hit the back of me and gave me a 5s penalty. I was then in the @DON SILVA drs train for many laps and then ended up behind him. Lost so much time behind @DON SILVA , just couldn't overtake. He was so fast on the straight but less so everywhere else. Was becoming so frustrated as I could see the podium disappearing in front and knew I had the laptime. @Simon Besnard overtook me as I failed to complete an overtake on Don but then they had they own incident together a lap later. Was back behind Don back then I made two silly mistakes under frustration with the situation. Twice I put my nose in areas in the hope Don would leave space but he didn't as he took his line which he was justified to do. I ended up with significant wing damage from that. Knowing that Don had penalties and I wasn't going to be on the podium I should've just taken the 4th place without those silly moves. Had to pit again for a new wing under the last SC and took my undeserved 5s penalty that cost me another position at the end (not being able to claim it back with the stewards as I took it in the pits) just added to the overall disappointment.

Highs and lows with league racing I know, without the lows you can't have the highs but this was my lowest feeling for a long time. Normally I would settle for P8 but not this time, felt my pace deserved more. What if the SC didn't happen? What if I have pitted for hards like Sneaky? Lots of if's and but's but this was very much a missed opportunity for me. Apologies to @Bankai_Bullett for my frustration over the team radio, double points finish for Renault is something I suppose. I need to regroup for the next race in Baku and as always hoping for better.

easiest dub of my life...

now for the real race rundown. Qualified 1st on a lap time I didn’t think would be close. Barely done any practice this week so couldn’t believe it, especially after @Sneaky24-7Ninja had just done a 9.0 in a practice session before.

The race was a different story. Disconnected on lap one and then drove around at about 5FPS with my force feedback basically becoming useless. Awful to drive and I’m blaming it for all my mistakes as some were completely caused by inability to feel what my car was doing a any given moment. Either way decent recovery to 4th which then became 5th after @iJokeri22 pulled a lovely move up my literal insides. Then 6th after @Bankai_Bullett got past and then 7th after I clipped the wall at Rascasse.

worst experience of my life driving the game. Couldn’t look behind me either so made it very sketchy when people were trying to get past/stuck behind me.

Q: 10th. 10.6. That was my PB at a track that I’m God awful at so I couldn’t complain.

R: DNF. 0 points again.

Got a great start, jumped @iJokeri22 and @olavstar off the line. Almost got @Bankai_Bullett but someone hit me at T1 and I almost spun but saved it. My plan was to pit early for Hards and get an undercut. I missed the optimal time to do it as some guys boxed under the VSC on lap 3 whilst I stayed out a little longer. I was asleep. Looking back, it didn’t really cost me anything. I boxed the following lap and started to build a train behind me. This continued up until lap 13/14 when the safety car made its first appearance. I found myself in a net P4 and then P3 when @Simon Besnard broke his wing whilst warming up his tyres. We then had another safety car almost immediately after the first one had ended. After that, I had loads of different drivers try to pass me. @timbob4321 got me at the chicane but @rich500, @olavstar and @Bankai_Bullett each had turns and couldn’t get me. I was driving slowly coz I didn’t feel confident enough to push without getting wing damage. The tactic was to abuse ERS out of portier and Anthony Noghes and it worked well. Then, it all fell apart on lap 35 when I made a mistake at the nouvelle chicane. This game Simon a run on me heading into Tabac but I felt confident that he would have to pull out of it as he wasn’t far enough alongside. Long story short, he didn’t. Major wing damage, race over. Tried to hold on but to no avail as everybody else passed me. @ricardo91 hammered the final nail into the coffin when he ran into the back of me on the final lap at Tabac and I lost my front right wheel.

This has been a difficult season for me and I was on for good points but once again, something happened. Bitterly disappointed as I felt that I barely put a foot wrong in a race which had no margin for error but the bottom line is that I’ve scored 0 points after 7 races and with the next two tracks being Baku and Canada, it’ll almost certainly be 0 after 9.

Time to wallow in self pity for a fortnight

It's like the T3 chicane in Monza. That's a tight corner and you have to slowdown to take it side by side but that's possible. If Don didn't squeeze me on the inside I'm sure we wouldn't have this conversation. Especially that I have one of my mate who did 2 overtakes here in F4 and no problem. If you consider you can't overtake because both the cars have to slowdown then you'll only overtake in the straights. Specially that if he had a better exit than me I would have back up guys obviously. Since the beginning the crash is not due to my opportunistic moves but by the fact Don squeezed me. Once again Don has the right to defend his position but like Bankai said some drivers have difference driving styles and I never backup when I'm right alongside specially on the inside because I consider that if I leave the room on the outside everything should go well.

Surprise surprise I qualified 8th lol cheers for beating me by 0.001 @Bankai_Bullett (I got my revenge later though) :sneaky:

R: 4th (S-M-M-M)
Firstly I got hit by @olavstar right at the start of the formation lap so my tyres were stone cold.

Start was horrible thanks to the cold tyres @DON SILVA simply drove round me and then going up the hill I got sandwiched between @olavstar and @ricardo91 luckily didn't get any damage. Settled in to 10th place at the back of a train of cars going very slowly which caught me out massively at the hairpin on lap 3 when everyone slowed more than I was expecting and I lost my wing on the back of @olavstar and @timbob4321 did exactly the same on the back of me luckily this caused a VSC so we didn't lose as much time pitting that lap.

Everyone around me pitted for hards but I went mediums as I figured there was guaranteed to be more SC/VSC so I would surely get a free pitstop sometime later in the race.

Followed @olavstar for a few laps as we very quickly caught up to @DON SILVA I was very close to being wiped out when @TheTubbyNinja came out the pits and nearly lost it but luckily no damage was done.

We caught Don on lap 8 and then despite being a lot quicker none of us could get past this carried on until lap 13 when the SC came out and I decided to take the opportunity to put on some fresh mediums that would get me to the end.

Restarted in 8th place right behind the two Renaults, came very close to putting a move on @rich500 in to the chicane on lap 17 but he braked just late enough to prevent me going down the inside.

From there just followed the train for a while we had another safety car but I think everyone stayed out.

Lap 26 and @Bankai_Bullett got wing damage so slowed to let his teammate through and I wasn't quite close enough to capitalise. A few laps later and I was right behind Bankai when he braked to go in the pits and I had no chance to avoid him which meant I lost my wing and had to pit as I was at the pitlane entrance I didn't have a chance to change my tyres so my tyres got changed from 20% worn Mediums to 30% worn Mediums and on top of that I had to serve a 5 second penalty from getting smashed in to behind the safety car so my pitstop was 13 seconds.

This all meant that with 10 laps to go I was 12th and last 10 second behind 11th and 20 seconds behind 10th.

I got 11th when @alexP pitted and I was catching @olavstar in 10th who had a lot pf penalties so I was just thinking keep Alex behind and I'll at least salvage a point, then all hell happened.

So I stared lap 36 still in 11th when the safety car was deployed I obviously stayed out as there was no reason to pit with so few laps left several other did pit though so with that and @Simon Besnard crashing I was up to 7th. The safety car came in very quickly so I was still several second behind the @DON SILVA @TheTubbyNinja & @Bankai_Bullett train with no idea that Don had substantial wing damage but as we came out of turn 1 on lap 38 I saw them all going up the hill and just though they are going to crash and sure enough seconds later all 3 of them went in to the wall at Casino I saw my opportunity and snuck down the inside of @Bankai_Bullett in to the right hander of Casino and I immediately got @DON SILVA in to the next corner as well which was followed half a lap later by @TheTubbyNinja binning it at Tabac allowing me to drive through his ghost car and up to 4th place.

Final lap and I was gaining seconds a sector on @timbob4321 in front who obviously had damage one or two more laps and I would have been on the podium but after the absolute **** show of the first 36 laps I was absolutely delighted with 4th place.

Congrats to the top 3 (not you @TheTubbyNinja lol) and everyone else who finished the race.

The formation lap incident was a weird one, on my screen we didn't even touch...

@Simon Besnard Actually I dont wanna be involved this discussion but I want to add something. Actually long time before I noticed that @Simon Besnard has a very agressive driving style. You are attacking most of the time like you didnt care any wing damage and you have nothing to lose. Just like live or die. And most of the time you touch your opponent because most of the time it is an unexpected attacking point of the track. Actually when I realize you, I know you will pass me at all cost, therefore I let you go. I spend a lot time to prepare the race for whole week and dont wanna lose my race because of a crazy attack.

Sorry for saying all of this but I think you can wait until you have a clear opportunity to pass. By the way I also think that you are one of the fastest driver in our league. But your driving style causes you trouble and costs you a lot of points. I believe you can do it better.

Honestly guys I don't understand this reputation some are trying to give me because that's the first incident I ever have in 19 races so yeah now I'm dangerous because someone closed me the door which ended up in a crash.

Saying that I don't care of dammages is really false cause I never made rush moves in all my races.

I don't really like the reputation some are giving me because that's not how I am and I respect every single driver I race against because we ALL share the same passion for racing, we are all really dedicated to practice sessions and everything so I will never destroy someone race because I know how time we put into it. I don't want to be the Magnussen of this tier because I'm clearly not. I respect all of you guys, really. I don't have anything against you apart from respect just what I ask is the same from you for me that's it

I'm going to support Simon on this one I don't think he's a dirty driver. We've had many good clean battles so far this season and I'm sure there are more to come. It's Monaco, it happens, get over it. When you race on a track that is this hard to overtake on, it is inevitable that people will crash into each other. A great man once said that if you don't go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a racing driver.

In China Timbo and I had a amazing battle at the end which he ended up winning and I don't remember he said at the end that I was dirty. Timbo even said that was a hell of a fun battle. So thanks bro

I'm definitely not saying that it was Don's fault though. I think that the move was probably never going to happen and that they were probably both at fault for what was a 50/50 crash

For the record I don't think @Simon Besnard is a dirty driver I've had a few close battles with him in Spain and in an Austria social and both occasions were clean I just think in this instance he made a mistake going for that move doesn't make him a dirty driver everyone makes mistakes.

Q: P5 1:09.817
I wasn't too disappointed in quali despite messing up my final run and even though it was around 8 tenths slower than my PB which I had set in my final lap of practice before the race. P5 was strong enough to be in contention though.

R: P2
I got probably my best start of the season so far (which meant I didnt lose out to other cars) and then was slightly later on the brakes into T1 than @Simon Besnard and with the inside line I managed to take 4th. Then after S1 my teammate @TheTubbyNinja dsc'd which I believe was the cause of the VSC. On his rejoin on lap 2 he took control at an awkward moment and got wing damage and then subsequently @GTX_23x hit the back of him to get wing damage himself. The next VSC on lap 3 presented an opportunity for a reduced loss in the pit lane and @rich500 infront, myself, and @MrJoshua took advantage but to my surprise Rich went for mediums.
Things remained settled for 10 laps with Rich predictably pulling away on quicker tyres until GTX crashed at the swimming pool from the lead still on his starting soft tyres causing a full saftey car. With Rich's pitstop under the saftey car I was promoted to the lead. The genuine net lead, I had no reason to pit on tyres that would make it to the end. All I needed to do was not get a penalty and no make a big enough mistake to allow a chance to Joshua or @timbob4321 who joined the battle at the front later on.
The plan was working perfectly with no real threat ever posed from behind until a lap 36 saftey car gave Joshua and opportunity to pit for softs and still be in P3. We were back underway with 2 laps left and Joshua got Timbob immediately off the restart. Out of Portier and into the tunnel the fresh soft to old hard tyres difference in traction was painful and I was forced defensive into the nouvelle chicane. I outbraked myself and got my 3 second penalty having been sat on 2 warnings since lap 3. Joshua also got a better exit and was ahead before Tabac. That was that and I crossed the line the most disappointed I've ever been on the second step of the podium. Still searching for that elusive first win!
