So as a lot of people are, I'm finding motivation for practising and racing. After doing some revision during the day, watching the derby and having a roast, I realised it was about 7:10 and I hadn't turned a lap around Austria yet (tbf, I hadn't driven around Austria at all on this game, so I was well prepared)

Qualifying- 13th
Cocked up my first run so did my best lap on lap three. Second run I was unhappy with so I decided to just take a hit on grid position for some fresh rubber.

Race- 4th
So this was a little unexpected. Made a poor launch but slowly made my way up into 8th place behind @advanceapple. Started to settle into a rhythm, before jumping up to 6th after @InFinityzzHD retired and @KaneIyanda went off. Pitted onto the softs, saw my advantage over @KaneIyanda shrink. However, I started to pull away slightly, but I couldn't catch @advanceapple ahead of me. Moved up to 4th after @TheTubbyNinja and @JohnnyR95 pitted, but at this point @KaneIyanda had closed up on me. Had to defend from him and @TheTubbyNinja, which I was doing just fine doing that until my wheel briefly disconnected. Messed up the last corner and dropped to sixth on the road, but a lack of penalties meant I maintained 4th!

Well done @MattDavies2511 for the win and @SolidNinjaSnake and @advanceapple for the podium finishes

This was to be my first race with my new T300 race wheel so was always interested how things would plan out and whether there would be any pace improvement.

Quali: P5
First run was a shocker, I invalidated my lap (1:06.075) which for some reason invalidated that lap and my next one.. GG codies. 2nd run was a alright lap which put me in P5. I decided to go again on the same set of tyres and had a 0.250sec improvement which would have put me P2 but I cocked the last corner up.

Race: P1
I had a decent start managed to get past @TheTubbyNinja quite early on and shadowed @SolidNinjaSnake @JohnnyR95 @InFinityzzHD in 4th. @InFinityzzHD made an error at T1 which made an interesting lap I managed to sneak up the inside of @JohnnyR95 at T6. Then it was about slowly gaining on @SolidNinjaSnake I was on him for the whole of the first stint. However he did surprise me when he pitted on lap 11. The earliest I was able to pit was lap 12 and so that was what I did. lost 2 secs through the undercut and slowly started to pull it back. I would also like to say @Roadhouse when you were getting blue flags it was a bit of an inconvenience as you had the pace to race with us and were sitting about 1 second in front of me at points which was a pain when trying to close the gap. Would be nice if the blue flags could be respected more. I know that you had the pace, but with the dirty air it can be a pain.

Anyway, once I closed up to solid I sat behind @SolidNinjaSnake for a laps gauged where I was quicker on L30 I had a run into T2 and made the move down the inside. I slightly locked my front wheel and was on full lock still making the corner. However we banged wheels (on my screen). I then let him back through down the next straight and tried to overtake him into T1 the next lap which was more succesful. I then pulled away rather too quickly for my liking which got me worried I had given him damage.

I pushed all the way to the finish only getting 2 warnings, which for me I feel is impressive. Very happy with my race and another win this year. I do apologise to solid. Honestly it was never intended to give you damage. From my screen when we banged wheels that shouldn't break your front wing, so I would say that it would be the brilliant game we are using.

Really looking forward to my favourite track and many of our home races next weekend. (y)

Qualifying: DNQ (16th)

My own fault. Cutting the last part of the corner at least three times then my last attempt I go bin it on my best lap. I was on for a 1:06.2 which I believe would have been a top 5. Amazing pace considering I hadn't practiced at all coming into this race.

Race: 12th or DNF?

Not sure if I classified in the end (Don't think I did tbh) but this race could, and should, have played out so very differently.

Started off gingerly behind a queue of cars at for the first couple of laps, then worked my way to P10. Eventually got past the Sauber car (not sure who it was) despite having aggressively defended his position to the point I was nearly forced into an accident. Other incidents with other drivers saw me in P7 at one stage, and pace-wise I was spot on. So figured I'd try out another stint on Ultras to see if I could gain enough time to trouble a top 5 or 6.

Except.... my AOR curse struck again.

Not his fault of course, but @DON SILVA's lagging Renault found itself planted on my front wing, which caused severe damage to it and with it killed off any chance of claiming any kind of points finish. I tried to gain some time on the super softs with my superior pace advantage to some of my rivals, but the damage was too great to recover from there. So I simply gave up and tried driving to the finish, only to lose control of the car and crash just two corners from home.

All in all another **** race.... why do I bother? haha

- McLaren performance update in order to negate the effects of the “team-mate bug” in Career mode.

- A frequent network crash

- Crash when entering Multiplayer having played Time Trial.

- Crash when re-entering Multiplayer after having disconnected via Ethernet.

- Crash when loading into a post-race career hub with a specific save game.
And that's it.

was wondering why you let me through so easy on the final lap haha. I got that second penalty on the penultimate lap as well so I think I would've beaten you otherwise. DAMN

BRACE YOURSELVES! IT IS TIME FOR THETUBBYNINJA'S RACE RUNDOWN (the cheers of the crowd can be heard for miles)

Qualifying: P4

Pretty happy with it, didn't have much time to find so 4th was about as good as I could really get at this track. Thought my pace round here was terrible until I did time trial a couple hours before the race so delighted.

Race: P5

I'm aware that I'm currently a bit of a qualifying specialist (I use the term specialist loosely) as my race pace is fairly poor in comparison. Was determined to make it through the first lap without any damage or incidents and I couldn't have asked for much better really. Got a good run on @SolidNinjaSnake out of T1 and then think I caught him napping (or maybe breaking early to avoid crashing into the back of the two leaders?) into T2 as I executed what can only be described as the greatest overtake of my AOR career to put me in 3rd (only my second proper overtake but shhhh). Only took him a lap to get past me again in a nice battle from T2 to T3 so I settled in behind for a while, clearly lacking the pace of the top runners.

Silly mistake in the final corner of lap 3 let @MattDavies2511 through on me, relegating me down to 5th. In T2 of the following lap @KaneIyanda smashed into the side of me but fortunately we both got through unscathed. Seemed to very much be top 6 and then the rest at this stage. Following @MattDavies2511 was bringing me closer to the front 3 so I consider my letting him through a tactical masterclass rather than an error.

Lap 7 @InFinityzzHD had his T1 cock up (no idea what happened) and I was in 4th, right behind the top guys at the end of the lap and was in a podium place after @JohnnyR95 messed up the final two corners. Feel like the Formula 1 gods were begging me to get a podium this race, so I decided to go against their will and do a two stop, basically making it impossible for me to get one. Oh and I decided I'd speed in the pit lane just to rub it in.

Second stint on the Ultra's was pretty uneventful, just me charging round as fast as possible. By the end of the stint managing to get a few seconds off second place. Pitted for SuperSoft's on lap 23. Came out down in 7th around 9 seconds off @KaneIyanda and the charge commenced. Was catching him by a second a lap on my fresher one step softer tyres and by lap 32 I was in the mix, confident I had the pace to pass @Tigerkart_22 and Kane. Lap 34 T2 Kane was both defending from me and attacking @Tigerkart_22 in the same corner which gave me a great cut back line where I would've been past on the traction had he not tapped my rear tyre. He let me have the position knowing his mistake and I've got huge respect for that.

Didn't get past TigerKart until his wheel disconnected on the final lap, ended up finishing 4th but being classified 5th due to penalties. Annoying but still very pleased with the race. Had I gone for a one stop like everyone else I'm pretty sure I was a big contender for the podium spot. Strategy was my only downfall, I drove pretty perfectly.

(Well that was long lol)

Nightmare on Sunday...

Q: 2nd, invalidated on the exit of T6 while on for a 1:05.8, very frustrating, but will still got a front row start alongside @InFinityzzHD

R: 7th
Started great, got a good launch and was alongside InFinityzz all the way to T3 where I got better traction on exit and took the lead. Held iit for a hile before I made a mistake coming into T4 I believe and lost the lead, continued to make mistakes and drop positions, while my tyres were dropping off alarmingly quickly, I used the same setup for a race around Austria a week earlier and had no tyre wear issues, however here my tyres were getting lunched. I had to do a US-S-US 2 stop due to how bad the wear was and finished down in 7th as a result.

Considering this track is meant to be my strongest I'm very disappointed, however Sunday was spent being almost stuck in Leeds because of heavy snowfall back home, lucky I managed to race, really.

Form is an issue though, 6 points since Russia, no idea what is going on with me to be quite honest

Qualifying
Not a great first lap with me losing the rear at both the penultimate and final corner. My second lap was pretty much equal to my first until those final two corners where I gained two and a half tenths. I was still only P4 at this point though, but when starting my final lap I was down in P8. Then for my final lap, I managed to pull out my best lap time around here compared to offline qualifying and got a 1:06.093, putting me in P3! So I was pretty happy with the result.

Race
Nearly gained P2 at T1 with @InFinityzzHD having to give space to @JohnnyR95 on the inside but I lost the rear. At the top of the hill, @TheTubbyNinja braked late and stopped me from turning in so I lost the position, nearly losing another place to @MattDavies2511 in the process. Lap 2 and I was able to make a move on TubbyNinja at the top of the hill again, going around the outside and receiving contact on the exit. Thankfully didn't get spun and got the position by the next corner.

Caught back up to @InFinityzzHD and @JohnnyR95 ahead and followed them around for the next few laps, watching them have a great battle with each other until Lap 7 where they both kindly decided to lose the rear at the same time at T1 haha. However, Johnny was still able to fight with me and we went side by side for the next series of corners before I finally got ahead and took the lead of the race by the end of the second sector. Nice battling!

After this @MattDavies2511 and I pulled away but I couldn't create a gap to him, with him always being within a second of me. I decided to go for the undercut on Lap 11 which gained me about two seconds, but Matt just showed how much faster he was. I felt like I was able to somewhat match him at first considering I was still 2 seconds ahead until the start of Lap 24 where he really started to close me down and by Lap 27, he was 7 tenths behind... I was able to hold him off, or maybe he was biding his time haha, until Lap 30 when he struck and unfortunately contact was made. I thought it was just a bang of wheels but I received damage to my front wing. Matt kindly did let me back past though straight after which I appreciate but with the damage I had, I couldn't try and fight him off and he soon passed me again at the end of the lap. After this, I fell back and just tried my best to try and finish in 2nd and keep the 13 second gap to @JohnnyR95/@advanceapple behind. I even let the backmarker of @Roadhouse past just to be safe from any contact in case he got caught out due to my speed. In the end, I managed to come home in 2nd place with a gap of just under 7 seconds to 3rd place.

I did go to the Stewards for the incident, solely due to the damage I received as it did affect my race and potentially the win but I did feel bad for even doing it, and I emphasise potentially because if I'm honest, @MattDavies2511 was faster, deserved the win and I think he would have beaten me anyway. Hopefully we can have a good battle next race! =)
So forgetting that, a much better result than I was expecting here! However, I am disappointed as that's two races in a row now where I've lost the lead in the final 4-6 laps of the race... Not to mention the race before them at Canada I could have had a win if I didn't mess up. Ah well, onto the next race!
Congrats to @MattDavies2511 and @advanceapple on 3rd. Also a shoutout to my teammate @Tigerkart_22 for his 4th place finish! Nice job! =D

Think there must’ve been a bit of lag between us cuzyoir description makes it sound like I was driving dirty.

For me on lap 1 top of hill i was nearly alongside you on the inside, broke a touch earlier than much standard point, hit the apex and left you plenty of space on the outside. To me was a completely clean move, don’t know if you saw it differently or I’ve just misinterpreted what you said.

And for our lap 2 battle I also left lots of space on the exit of turn 2 and we were alongside on exit where on my screen it seemed like you lost the back end on the exit for a second and hit into me (very lightly). Don’t know if that was different for you?

Just wanna clear it up cuz imo I positioned my car very fairly the whole time but it sounds like you think differently
